The Jerk Take Time to Listen. Put Things in Perspective. We are on a campaign to expose the jerk in the workplace. I, as 99% of my peers, take oversight and accountability as an ongoing and vital part of an operation. What we don't understand is the manager or supervisor that is a jerk being tolerated. Everyone has a bad day on the job. When a bad day is a way of life something needs to be done. We are asking everyone to help stamp out the jerk. Ask Embarq to lose the jerk. Read more, click here > no more jerks The change to Embarq has not eliminated one aspect of our workplace. It is apparent that it is not illegal to be a jerk as long as you are an equal opportunity jerk. The supervisor with an antagonistic approach to subordinates is still being tolerated. Many of these rode in on the coattails of that other company's management philosophy. It is a damned shame that in the face of evidence showing constant workplace turmoil that these supervisors and managers are not subject to some oversight. That overzealous approach may yield some short term results but at a greater lose in the long run. There is evidence clearly with us now. This antagonistic approach has a negative impact on the workforce. It is witnessed everyday. This company can operate at a high level without antagonism. That has been witnessed in the last few weeks after the redistricting. Many unnecessary practices have been dropped. Unfortunately, moving supervisors and managers only helps those employees that are released from such management. I sympathize with all those still under this type of leadership. There is hope. Even if the actions are not illegal, being antagonized on the job is not right. You have a recourse. Document the actions and contact your union representative. It is my belief that most of the actions are not being conveyed to upper management. Past experience leads me to believe that top management is out of the loop with the actions of these rogues. PLEASE let your union representatives know. There is help. Stop the jerks. Foxx Underwood |
